MotoTrak Analysis Tools (MATLAB)
MotoTrak has been around since 2014, and in that time we’ve created a lot of different ways to look at MotoTrak data. Almost all of our analysis functions are written in MATLAB, and you can download our suite of functions in one handy zip file:
MotoTrak MATLAB Analysis Scripts
If you don’t have a MATLAB license, you can download the same functions as a compiled, standalone program, free of charge:
Compiled MotoTrak Analysis Suite
Currently, the MotoTrak analysis suite consists of the following functions:
Graphical Analysis
Single Session Data to TSV
Isometric Pull Trial Viewer
Supination Trial Viewer
Lever Press Trial Viewer
Session Info Editor
If there’s a type of analysis that you want to do, and you can’t find it in these functions, contact us and there’s a good chance that we have some code already created that can help you.
3rd Party Analysis Tools
Sam Butensky, formerly a research fellow in Jason Carmel’s Movement Recovery Lab, developed and published a superb graphical analysis suite called Dexterity that is tailor-made for analyzing rodent motor assessment data, including MotoTrak data. All of the MATLAB code for Dexterity, as well as a standalone compiled program, is freely available in Sam’s GitHub repository.
